Create Order
Open the intraoral scanner software and fill in the order basic information. Select the type of case you would like to start for this case, both Restoration and Orthodontics treatment type are suitable for edentulous case scan.
Edentulous Arch Scan
When scan the edentulous arch from some distinctive area such as the tuberosity area on the back of the arch. Firstly, scan the occlusal side and swing the scan tip to get data from multiple angles.
Secondly, you can scan the lingual or buccal side according to your habit.
Thirdly, for the upper jaw, remember to scan the palate. For the lower jaw, follow the same scan technique as scanning the upper jaw.
Them you can continue to finish the occlusal side scan, buccal and lingual side scan.
Bite Scan
